Welcome to the Vitanova Foundation
The Vitanova Foundation is a non-profit corporation chartered by the Province of Ontario and a registered Canadian charity that provides a range of addiction-related services to individuals, families and the community at large - all at no charge.
Founded in 1987 by Franca Damiani Carella, Vitanova's 15,000 sq.ft. facility houses a domiciliary shelter and offers a variety of counselor-operated day programs, evening aftercare and therapy courses. Treatment is available for alcohol abuse, drug abuse, gambling addictions and anger management.
Vitanova is a client-centered agency focused on restoring the individual's potential as a valued member of a fully functioning family and a contributor to the communilty at large.
Overview
For over 20 years, the Vitanova Foundation has been providing a continuum of services for individuals and families suffering from the effects of drug and alcohol addiction. It is the vision of founder and executive director, Franca Carella, that perpetuates this charitable organization and provides a wide range of programs designed to help put lives back together, all free of charge.

History
A Brief History of The Vitanova Foundation
Founded in 1987 by Franca Damiani Carella, its first president, Vitanova – Latin for “New Life”– was chartered by the Province of Ontario in 1988. Vitanova was awarded charitable status by Revenue Canada (now Canada Customs & Revenue Agency, with registration number 124239054 RR0001) in 1989.
